Iseum/Isham Melton was a Revolutionary War Soldier

Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files, lists Isham Melton, Pension File: S38944, VA Line, applied Jun 5, 1818 Edgefield District, SC. In 1821 the former soldier was 61 years old and had a wife, Sarah, aged 60 years and daughters: Betsey 17, Nancy 14. Other children were referred to but not named.

There is also an Isham Melton who married a Susannah (Unknown last name) and had a son Jesse Melton born 1808 in NC

An Aaron Copeland, who applied for a Revolutionary War pension stated that he married Polly Melton, was the daughter of Isham Melton.
