He had wander up to a friend of mine\'s home a few months earlier.  Living in the country she already had five cats and several dogs.  George was not totally welcomed by the original clowder so I took him in.  In my care it was obvious that in spite of not being in the in crowd at his previous home he was used to having company so a month or so after he came here I adopted Louise, original name Shadow.  I changed her name because she reminded me of, Midnight Louise, the daughter of Midnight Louie in the Carole Nelson Douglas\' \"Midnight Louie\" books.';

The red sock has a wadded paper towel and catnip inside.', 'George having already enjoyed the catnip has collapsed.  Louise can barely walk from the stuff.  The blue toy was a bust.  It was not sturdy enough for two active cats and after returning broken ones three times I gave up.', 'What\'s with these catnip stoned cats sleeping on the scratching pad?', 'George has about had it with the catnip but continues to play with the sock... a little.', 'My daughter owns birds and when she went away for a few days I cared for her birds.  OH, she also owns a cat so they\'re used to cats stalking them.', 'George and Louise were VERY interested in the birds but the birds knew they were safe inside the cage.', 'This was pretty funny because a few seconds after this one of the birds pecked furiously at Louise and she wouldn\'t come near them again.' );
